Andrew "Drew" Cosenza is a skilled Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) with expertise in primary care, LGBT health, HIV management, and STD prevention. He is proficient in Pre-Exposure Prophylaxis (PrEP) and Doxy Pep, which significantly reduce the risk of HIV and certain STDs.
Starting in August 2024, Drew will join CareMedica in Wallingford as a primary care provider. He brings a rich background working with diverse populations and a commitment to community care. Drew began his nursing career at Gateway Community College, where he was President of the Student Nurses’ Association and received the Student Leader of the Year Award in 2018. He graduated with an Associate’s in Nursing, earned the Yale New Haven Hospital Nightingale Leadership Scholarship, and became a registered nurse.
In 2020, Drew graduated summa cum laude from Quinnipiac University with a BSN, followed by an MSN in Adult-Gerontology Nurse Practitioner in 2023. He aims to pursue a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) next.
Certified and a member of AANPCB and CTAPRNS, Drew is dedicated to prevention and non-judgmental patient counseling.
