Dr. Osama Kandalaft, MD, hails from Amman, Jordan, where he spent his formative years before embarking on his medical journey. Graduating from the Royal College of Surgeons Ireland (RCSI), he commenced his career as a House Officer at Trinity University, specializing in Ears, Nose, and Throat Surgery. Dr. Kandalaft's passion for research led him to Brigham & Women’s Hospital, where he served as a Research Associate, delving into various critical areas such as Traumatic Brain Injuries, seizure disorders, and sickle cell disease. He further honed his skills through a residency in Internal Medicine at Baystate Medical Center, affiliated with the UMass/Tufts program, where he was recognized with the prestigious Teaching Excellence award from Tufts University.
Presently, Dr. Kandalaft serves as an Attending Hospitalist with Yale New Haven Health, making a significant impact on patient care. Additionally, he holds the esteemed position of Assistant Professor of Internal Medicine at Yale University School of Medicine, where he shares his wealth of knowledge with aspiring medical professionals, including medical students, physician assistants, and nursing students.
